A gentle panda reminder to take browsing breaks.

Set a browsing duration and a rest duration. When it is time to rest, Panda Rest shows a panda animation with a countdown and blocks webpage interaction until the break ends.

Simple controls for enforced breaks

Configurable timing

Choose how long you want to browse before a break and how long the break should last.

Visible but locked

The current webpage remains visible, but clicking, scrolling, and typing are blocked during break time.

Local settings

Your settings are stored locally in Chrome. Panda Rest does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.

Multiple languages

The popup supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Korean.

Data collection

Panda Rest does not collect, sell, share, or transmit user data.

Local storage

The extension stores settings locally in Chrome, including browsing duration, break duration, enabled state, and selected language. These settings remain on the user's device and are not sent to any server.

Permission use

Panda Rest uses permissions only to display a break overlay on webpages, schedule break timing, and update open tabs with break status. The extension does not read, collect, store, or transmit webpage content, browsing history, personal information, health information, financial information, authentication information, or user communications.

Remote code and tracking

Panda Rest does not use remote code, analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.
